Account & Data Deletion
Google Play requires every app that has an account system to publish a clear, account-deletion route that anyone — including users who have uninstalled the app — can use without re-installing. This page is that route for the ClipDrama Android app.
1. Option A — From inside the app
- Open the ClipDrama app.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Read the warning, then confirm deletion with your account password or Google re-authentication.
- The app will sign you out and submit the deletion request. You will receive a confirmation email at your account address.
2. Option B — By email (works even if you uninstalled the app)
- Send an email from the email address linked to your ClipDrama account to [email protected] .

Use the subject line:
Delete my ClipDrama account. - Include the email address you signed up with so we can locate the account. You do not need to send any other personal information.
If you can't email from the original account address (for example, you've lost access to it), send the request from any address and include enough detail for us to verify the account (the approximate sign-up date and the last few drama titles in your watch history). We may ask for additional verification before proceeding.
3. What gets deleted
Deletion removes the following data from our active production systems:

4. What may be retained, and for how long
A minimal subset of data may be retained for a limited period where the law requires it, where we need it to resolve an ongoing dispute, or where it has already been aggregated beyond the point of identifying you:
- Request logs (IP, user-agent) — rotated within 14 days regardless of deletion request.
- Crash diagnostics — fully de-identified at intake and retained up to 90 days per Firebase Crashlytics defaults.
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics (e.g. "X dramas watched in May") are kept indefinitely. They contain no information that identifies you.
- Records of the deletion itself (request date, completion date, the email address that requested it) are retained for up to 2 years so we can prove the request was honoured if asked by a regulator.
5. Timing and confirmation
- We acknowledge requests within 3 business days.
- We complete deletion within 30 calendar days.
- We send a written confirmation to your account email when deletion completes.
- If we cannot fulfill the request (e.g. we can't verify the account), we will explain why and what is needed to proceed.
6. Deleting only specific data, without closing the account
You can also ask us to delete only a specific subset — for example, "delete all my saved clips but keep my watchlist". Send the same kind of email naming exactly what you want removed.
